 The idea that pleasure is the ultimate goal of humans. To be completely free of pain, and to just enjoy the pleasures of the world. Although it sounds very vain, it bases on some sort of wisdom: That you only live once and that tomorrow is not promised. It questions the concept of saving till retirement and being able to comfortably live. Sort of an extremity on the pleasure side. It also states that people who do selfless acts do it because it gives them some sort of pleasure. Sort of a bit related to cynicism. Does it make sense that people who believe in religious moral and etc do not gain pleasure then? Since more or less often religious values and morals do not end in pleasure or rather the conventional idea of pleasure. What is pleasure really? Happy or sad. Why do things that are selfless then, if hedonism was truly the way that we were meant to live, would society work?  Dont cry over spilled milk. Do not be affected by poor outcome, or rather, be affected positively. It is a way of life, Negative experience is not equal to negative reaction. It is all about perspective. We don't get sad because of poor experiences rather, we are sad because its an unexpected poor experience. Lets say rain, we expect that rain happens often, although it ruins our plans, we understand how rain works and that it will eventually pass, therefore we don't sulk about it. We also know how to work around rain and also learn to appreciate rain and its benefits. Similar to a poor situation, if we are able to change our mindset to appreciate them better, perhaps we wouldn't experience such negative emotions when dealing with them.  We should focus on doing things that are beneficial for ourselves, based on our own expectations rather than society's. A society of blue creatures, living amongst a forest filled with a plethora of plant and animal species, living in symbiosis with one another. An untouched motherland, untouched species, with tradition and culture rooted in the "Spiritual" realm. The story of how humans invaded area to take whatever natural resources the island had to offer, a story of death and destruction of the pure, replaced with first-world worries: To make money, to ensure the survivability of our species at the expense of others. If anything stood out to me, it was definitely the beauty of the untouched.  Death. Why do we fear it if we've been in that unconscious state long before and in an infinite time before we have given birth. Why do we mourn when someone passes away, especially at a young age? Because we feel sadness over the loss of experiences that person could have experienced in their potentially long life time. Why do we then not mourn of the losses of experiences a new born could have had before birth? Since life is a physical manifestation of the human body of which they would have not had and therefore not had had the experience to go through it. We fear death as it is uncertain. We as humans will always fear the unknown. The fact is, nobody knows what death feels like. Do we believe in life after death? Political Nihilism is that there is no order, how can you place ethics and order if there is no such thing. Merely a construct of society.
